ColourLovers is a great website where you can browse some fantastic colour palettes uploaded by the site’s user community. From the site:

COLOURlovers™ is a resource that monitors and influences color trends. COLOURlovers gives the people who use color – whether for ad campaigns, product design, or even in architectural specification – a place to check out a world of color, compare color palettes, submit news and comments, and read color related articles and interviews.

The desktop colour finder does exactly what you expect, easily search the entire ColourLovers range of pallets, patterns and colours. Selecting any of the results shown takes you to the ColourLovers site. Again it’s the simplicity of not having to have your browser open while designing and this little app excells at just doing it’s job.

Design eye

Nice inkeeping colour scheme for the form and buttons. Results are clearly shown with minimal fuss. Clear fonts used and with a lovely custom chrome to finish off.

Technical eye

Built in HTML and styled with CSS the application weights in at only 88K! Enhancements are made using the jQuery JavaScript framework.
