One AIR app I’m not going to review

It didn’t take long, until some wise startup uses AIR as a platform for laying down ads in a poor attempt at just wrapping a webbrowser.

I’m not the only one that was not impressed with SocialU’s AIR app, ReadWriteWeb has a writeup that is worth a read and expresses much of the thoughts that I had on the app. Make your own mind up. Read the article here.

comments closed August 06th 2008 | by James

Yahoo have announced an API for their music service. Detailed on programmableweb the service is REST based and allows for JSON, XML and RSS responses. Requests are currently limited to 5000 per day although if your using AIR you will be caching your results locally. Should be interesting to see what apps evolve out of the music API. There is also a support forum setup for this API.
